Supervisor sign-off, without the chasing

The Board requires your record to be sighted and signed regularly — usually weekly. PsychLog makes that easy: it generates your report instantly, and your supervisor signs digitally in under a minute, from a secure link — no account to create, nothing to install. It's just easy.

1

Email your report

A weekly report, any date range, your full logbook — or a supervision record covering one supervisor's sessions.

2

They click, review, sign

A secure personal link opens the exact document you see. They type their name — done. No account, no password.

3

Everything is recorded

Signature and timestamp on the report, initials on their sessions, signed entries locked against accidental edits — and both of you keep a permanent copy.

The parts no other logbook has

Three private journals

Alongside your logbook you get three private journals — reflective practice, a learning journal, and a supervision journal — and you can link them straight to your logbook entries. Notes, links, lists, screenshots: one place for all of it.

CPD notes and evidence attach to your Education entries too, so the Board's portfolio of evidence builds itself as you go.

Take to Supervision

Click the Take to supervision icon on any logbook entry and it goes on your list. Build the list as the week happens, raise everything in the session, tick things off as they're discussed. Nothing gets forgotten.

Your month at a glance

Every day's clients and hours, supervision sessions, monthly totals — your whole month on one screen. Unlogged weekdays are highlighted, so you spot gaps early. Click any day to open its entries.

Everything the Board asks for, handled

Bring your whole history with you

Import from the Board's spreadsheet, any other logbook app's export, or any Excel/CSV — column matching built in, every import undoable. Or skip the rows and enter your approved totals to date: both paths are built in.

Every rule, tracked

Built on the current Board guidelines (updated December 2025) — supervision composition, the 2-assessment + 2-intervention observation quota each period, simulated-contact caps — watched continuously, with warnings before anything drifts.

A report for every occasion

Weekly reports in the Board's layout, any date range, the full logbook, a per-supervisor supervision record, or the six-month progress review with its numbers pre-filled — all print-ready, all sendable for digital sign-off.

Find anything in seconds

Search everything, or filter by client, supervisor, competency, format or date range — with live totals for whatever you've filtered. “How many hours with my secondary supervisor?” is one click.

Questions, answered

What is PsychLog?
An online logbook for Australian provisional psychologists on the 5+1 internship pathway — built by a provisional psychologist who's living the 5+1 too. You record your practice, education and supervision; PsychLog tracks every Psychology Board requirement automatically and generates your weekly reports. Registrar program support is on the roadmap.
Can I import my existing logbook?
Yes — from the Board's LBPP-76 spreadsheet (including modified copies), an export from another logbook app, or any Excel/CSV with a column-matching step. Your file is read in your browser and never uploaded; every import can be undone in one click. Prefer not to bring the rows across? Enter your approved totals to date instead and start fresh from today.
How does supervisor sign-off work?
Email any report to your supervisor from the Reports page. They receive a secure personal link, review the exact document you see, and sign with their typed name — no account or password needed. The signature and timestamp are recorded on the report, their initials appear on their supervision sessions, and signed entries are protected from accidental edits. Both of you keep a permanent copy.
How much does it cost?
A$12 a month or A$99 a year, after a 14-day free trial that needs no credit card. If your trial ends without subscribing, you can still view and export everything — you just can't add new entries.
Does it check the actual Board rules?
PsychLog's calculations follow the current Board guidelines (updated December 2025) — the 1,500-hour total, 500 contact hours, supervision composition and ratio, the direct-observation quota each six months, simulated-contact caps and more — each explained in plain English with a link to the Board document it comes from. PsychLog is independent and not affiliated with Ahpra or the Psychology Board; you remain responsible for your own compliance.
What if I stop subscribing?
Your data is never held hostage: viewing and full Excel/CSV export work with or without a subscription, forever.
Can it do my six-month progress review?
Yes. Choose the progress review on the Reports page and the numbers — client contact, supervision, education, direct observations, this period and accrued — fill in from your logbook, in the Board's layout. You write (or, with your consent, AI drafts from your own tagged entries — you edit and own every word) how each competency was addressed, then send it for your supervisor to rate, comment and sign online.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your logbook is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in Sydney, Australia — it never leaves the country. Only your account can read your records. Clients are de-identified codes — PsychLog never asks for client names, so your logbook holds nothing that could identify a client. Journals are never included in reports or sign-off pages. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Do you support the registrar program?
Not yet — PsychLog is deliberately specialised for the 5+1. If you're a registrar (or about to be) and want a PsychLog-fast logbook for your endorsement pathway, register your interest — enough hands raised is exactly what would make us build it.

Secure, private, and yours

Your logbook is a professional record and your registration may depend on it. Here's how we protect it.

Privacy by design

Only you can access your logbook, and nothing in it goes anywhere unless you choose to send it. PsychLog was rebuilt in 2026 with privacy at its core — designed from the ground up around Australian privacy law, Australian Privacy Principles and Health Privacy Principles.

Bank-grade encryption

Your data is encrypted in transit to and from PsychLog, and again at the database level where it's stored — using the same encryption standards relied on by banks and other secure online services.

Hosted in Australia

In keeping with Australian privacy law, your data is hosted on secure servers in Sydney and never leaves Australia.

Your data is always yours

Export everything to Excel or CSV at any time, subscribed or not. If your trial ends, viewing and exporting remain free.

Cathryn Doney, founder of PsychLog

Hi — I'm Cathryn, a provisional psychologist living the 5+1 right now. Before psychology I spent a long career building software that hospitals and emergency services relied on. I first built PsychLog in 2022 for the 4+2 pathway, and rebuilt it from the ground up in 2026 for the 5+1. I log my own hours in it every day — so when something's clunky, I feel it first, and fix it. I'd love to hear from you.
